Alcorn State introduces new scholarship platform, ScholarshipUniverse
For prospective and current Alcorn students, locating and submitting applications for scholarships—both for internal and external opportunities—has gotten a lot easier.
“ScholarshipUniverse provides a centralized gateway to connect with internal and external scholarships,” said Juanita McKenzie Edwards, director of Financial Aid. “This amazing platform simplifies scholarship management and improves accessibility to scholarship dollars for our students. ScholarshipUniverse removes the manual processing for staff and utilizes automated communications and alerts while improving time management.”
ScholarshipUniverse is a scholarship-matching tool that personalizes the process based on students’ individual profiles. It’s an easy and user-friendly platform that removes the burden of searching through thousands of scholarships. The system will match students with “best-fit opportunities.”
The new platform enables students to:
• Respond to questions and be matched to eligible scholarship opportunities
• Apply quickly and easily online to numerous scholarship opportunities through a personalized portal
• View scholarship metrics to gauge prospects and the amount of work needed to apply
• Receive alerts anytime students are matched to new scholarship opportunities
