Alcorn State University SNAP-Ed Program

Welcome to the Alcorn State University SNAP-Ed program! We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families in Mississippi through nutrition education, physical activity promotion, and community outreach. As an implementation agency of the State of Mississippi, we receive funding from the USDA SNAP-Ed grant to provide comprehensive services that empower our community to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for Mississippians by providing accessible, evidence-based nutrition education and physical activity promotion. We strive to create sustainable, positive changes in our community by empowering individuals and families with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to lead healthy lives. Through collaborations with local partners, we aim to build a culture of health and wellness that spans generations.
