Alcorn’s Master of Business Administration program prepares future leaders

Students in Alcorn State University’s Master of Business Administration program have been busy during the month of December.

The students participated in a research presentation event during the Fall 2015 semester on the Natchez campus in which they shared the results of a number of research projects that they investigated. There were 16 students who investigated topics ranging from reorganization and liquidation to issues financial managers face, and much more.

Dr. Akash Dania, who is the director of Graduate Business Programs, spoke on the importance of the students’ participation in an event that will shape them into future leaders.

“Emphasizing research in the MBA curriculum aims at fulfilling the mission and vision statement of Alcorn’s School of Business, which is to prepare graduates who will be well-rounded future leaders in a globally competitive marketplace,” said Dania. “Research projects conducted by the students helps instill a mind set for a systematic, research based approach to conceptualize and analyze today’s complex business situations.”
