Alumni Reminisce at Annual Homecoming Tailgate

Alumni, family and friends had an opportunity to engage with the School of Agriculture and Applied Sciences during its 1st Annual Tailgate Homecoming Tailgate, Saturday, Oct. 14th.

A tent was erected on the Extension and Research Complex lawn where faculty, staff and alum could reminisce, show their support of the School, and offer insight on enrollment and internship opportunities. Potential future students also had the opportunity to peruse information on the various academic departments.

Visitors enjoyed refreshments, served by Dr. Edmund Buckner, Dean and Director of Land Grant Programs (as well as various faculty and staff members) and were delighted by prizes and giveaways.

Alumni and friends from California, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi and Tennessee were in attendance.

According to Dr. Gwendolyn-Lucas Gordon, director of alumni and staff development, “This event was supported by faculty, staff and students, and offered a wealth of knowledge about the school and its various programs. Alumni and friends stopped by to support our event and were excited to learn about the new programs and initiatives established. We will be sponsoring similar events for alumni and friends during the upcoming year.”
