Belinda Smith is Alcorn’s newest program support coordinator
With the hiring of their latest employee, Alcorn State University’s Office of Graduate Studies is adding depth to their team.
Belinda Smith is the Office’s new program support coordinator. Her role is to work with international students to help them navigate through graduate school. Smith began her new role in January.
Smith, a third generation Alcornite who earned a bachelor’s degree in 2005 and a master’s degree in 2011, is pleased to provide service to students at the University.
“I am elated to have a chance to further my career at my alma mater,” said Smith. “I have had the great honor to experience guiding students from as young as kindergartners to high school. When I saw the opportunity to guide students at the college level, I was ecstatic.”
Smith is excited about guiding students to academic success.
“I look forward to being an essential part of the University’s Office of Graduate Studies team in keeping our great university high among graduate students obtaining graduate degrees.”
