Alcornite named new chief at ERDC

Congratulations to Edward Huell who was recently selected as the new chief of the CAD/BIM Technology Center in the Software Engineering and Informatics Division (SEID), Information Technology Laboratory at the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Huell is a 1995 graduate of Alcorn State University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology, and a Master of Science in computer aided design/geographic information system (CAD/GIS) from Kent State University in Ohio. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in geospatial science from Mississippi State University with a thesis in “Comparison of Stochastic Modeling Methods to Minimize Uncertainty in Digital Elevation Data”.

Huell spent five years as a contract employee for the Corps, ten years as a federal employee and most recently served as acting branch chief for the Tri-Service CAD/BIM Technology Center.
