Director of Internal Audit at Alcorn earns CFE credential

Permy K. Thuha was recently approved as a certified fraud examiner. This credential means the director of Internal Audit can now conduct and document any fraudulent investigation and prepare evidence for criminal or civil prosecution. It denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence and is also a symbol of proficiency in documenting and conducting investigations involving fraud.

“This is another milestone accomplished in my professional development,” expressed Thuha. “I am grateful for the faculty and staff development grant that helped fund the training program and material needed to attain this certification.” The certification process requires Thuha be an associate member in good standing with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, be of high moral character, meet minimum academic and professional requirements, pass the CFE examination and agree to abide by the Bylaws and Code of Professional Ethics of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Thuha is also a certified public accountant and internal auditor.
