Honor Seniors Applauded at Appreciation Luncheon
Alcorn State University’s senior honor students were recognized for their dedication to their studies.
Members of the Honor Student Organization (HSO) hosted an appreciation luncheon Monday, April 25 at the Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Facility Gold Room for seniors in the organization. The event was primarily to thank HSO members and seniors for their support to the Pre-Professional and Honors Curriculum Program and Alcorn State University.
During the event, the students were given certificates for their hard work and received recognition for being named the 2015-2016 Best Organization.
Dr. Wandra Arrington, assistant director of the Honors Curriculum Program and HSO advisor, expressed her appreciation for the students.
“This is an exciting day,” said Arrington. “We’re grateful to you for helping our program and Alcorn. You made the decision to attend Alcorn State University and while here, you went the extra mile to make Alcorn and yourself great. You participated in experiential activities, research symposiums and service projects on and off campus in the local communities while excelling in your academics.”
