Dr. Gregory Reed appointed Interim Extension Administrator, School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences
Dr. Gregory Reed has been recently appointed interim extension administrator for the Extension Program, School of Agriculture, Research, Extension and Applied Sciences (AREAS) at Alcorn State University.
Reed holds the rank of associate professor in the Department of Agriculture. For the past three years, he has been serving as associate administrator for state level programs and special projects at the Alcorn Extension Program.
Reed has been involved in the promotion and implementation of outreach and technical support for citizens of the state of Mississippi for 30 years. He has built a record of success in administration, agribusiness development, guidance education, technology education, and farm management at the local, state, regional, national and international levels.
Reed is a graduate of Alcorn State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture (1986) and master’s degree in animal science (1989). He attained his Ph.D. from Jackson State University in 1996 in educational administration.
