Duvalier Malone set to release first book, “A Manual For Making a Difference”
Providing a blueprint for serving humanity is the theme for one Alcorn State University alumnus and budding author.
Duvaler Malone, a political columnist and motivational speaker who earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Alcorn in 2008, anticipates the release of his first book, “A Manual For Making a Difference,” Saturday, April 7.
Malone’s book chronicles his journey as a small-town boy who dreamed of changing his fate and reaching his goals. He also tells his story of struggle, adversity and will to succeed.
“I talk about how I overcame tragedy in the best way possible, which was through service to my fellow man and woman,” said Malone.
The book details Malone’s drive for evolution of the human condition through service. He credits those who came before him for fueling his drive to give back.
“I seek to give a manual on how to serve humanity. As a small town boy who chased my dreams and found the path to manhood by using those who paved the way as role models, I was blessed with the tools to give back to my community.”
Malone hopes to inspire the younger generation to stay persistent on the hunt for success.
“I believe my story of chasing my dreams and never giving up can impact the lives of so many young students and adults who are just like I was.”
