SBA and ASU host “Small Business Development, Access to Capital & Contracting Opportunities Conference”
As part of a collaborative initiative working with historically black colleges and universities launched within the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Region IV, the SBA Mississippi District and Alcorn State University (ASU) recently executed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SBA-ASU Initiative) with the overall objective of enhancing entrepreneurship and small business development within the southwest Mississippi region.
On Saturday, August 24, 2013, SBA and ASU will host a ‘Small Business Development, Access to Capital &Contracting Opportunities Conference’. The conference will be informational in scope, focusing on the state of the local economic environment, operational integrity, regulatory compliance and access to capital for small businesses.
SBA, ASU, federal and state agencies, lending institutions, and private sector businesses are scheduled to participate in this conference.
