Alcorn alumnus Kristopher Williams receives his white coat, begins clinical rotations in doctoral program
Alcorn alumnus Kristopher R. Williams recently received his white coat for the Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina Winston-Salem. The White Coat Ceremony signifies the beginning of clinical rotations.
Kristopher graduated from Alcorn in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-physical therapy. During his tenure at Alcorn, he was a member of Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, Pre-Professional and Pre-Graduate Programs, Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society and Khem Club.
Now, Kristopher is completing his second year at UNC Winston-Salem and is scheduled to graduate in December 2014. He is a member of Epsilon Tau Sigma Honor Society, president of the Physical Therapy Club and vice president of the class of 2014, with a 3.92 GPA.
Kristopher also participated in the U.S. planning committee for Consortium for International Management, Policy, Administration and Development (CIMPAD ) and presented at the organization’s conference in 2013 in Windhoek, Namibia. While visiting Namibia, Kristopher and his colleagues had the opportunity to meet the U.S. Ambassador to Namibia Wanda Nesbit.
Kristopher is the youngest son of Sandra Williams, office manager in the Department of Athletics. He will be traveling to Belize in 2014 to complete his clinical rotations.
