ASU to host Shiitake Mushroom Production Workshops 

The Alcorn State University Extension Program (ASUEP) will hold four Shiitake Mushroom Workshops scheduled on the following dates and times, according to Audrey Wilson, AREA agriculture extension educator.

                                                Meadville, Mississippi
 
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.           Bogue Chitto/Lincoln County Community Center
                                                Highway 51
                                                Bogue Chitto, Mississippi
 
 
Interested persons are asked to dress for the outdoors and bring 3-4 logs, sweet gum or oak preferably and 40 inches in length and 6-8 inches in diameter, to the workshop.  The logs will provide participants with a jump start on mushroom production for the fall season.

The sessions will be conducted by Ricky Johnson, farm manager and Audrey Wilson.
