Alcorn State University ranks among the best
Alcorn State University is pleased to consistently rank as one of the best colleges in the United States.
According to U.S. News and World Report’s special issue which ranks America’s Best Black Colleges (slated to be published this fall), Alcorn State University is ranked 23rd out of 105 Historically Black Colleges Universities (HBCU) nationally. This position places Alcorn 11th among public HBCUs and 7th among 1890 land-grant institutions. In the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Alcorn ranks 2nd among its peers.
