The Admissions Process
Applications for admission are accepted from first time freshmen any time during the calendar year. There are four criteria to gain admission to Alcorn State University. Students who do not meet one of the criteria will be required to participate in a Summer Developmental Program.

Admission for persons desiring study at the graduate level is processed by the School of Graduate Studies.
Driving Directions
Alcorn State University is approximately an equal distance - 40 miles - from Vicksburg to the north and Natchez to the south. The University is 80 miles southwest of the state capital, Jackson.
